Dr Adrian Brown
Dr Adrian BrownCEO & Co-Founder
With over twenty years of experience as a doctor in the NHS, primarily in obstetrics and gynaecology (MRCOG) obtaining a MSc and FFPH in Public Health, Adrian has a wide array of knowledge concerning the needs of patients and healthcare teams. He was added to the GMC Specialist Register as a Public Health consultant in 2006, and has been dedicated to senior leadership roles in Public Health including; Principal Screening Advisor (2013-2016); Lead for Preventative Medicine & Clinical Governance, Inner North West London (2011-2013) and Consultant in Public Health Medicine (NHS Westminster) (2006-2011). Since 2002 Adrian has chaired the international NGO, Maternity Worldwide, which works to reduce maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality in low-income countries.
Dr David McKee
Dr David McKeeChief Technology Officer
Globally recognised technology leader, with deep expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Previously, founded and was CEO/CTO of Slingshot Simulations, a spin-out from the University of Leeds which he had a successful exit in 2023. Widely acknowledged for his expertise in AI and deep learning, as exemplified by his recognition as a Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellow.
Kevin Smith
Kevin SmithStrategy & Commercial Director
With a UK and global background around fast-growth technology businesses, Kevin brings his experience and networks to help fuel Itecho’s growth in the UK and overseas.  He was previously the Global Head of Startups at KPMG the global advisory firm having teams in 54 countries supporting early-stage businesses and creating the firm’s Global Tech Innovator competition. Since leaving KPMG,  has been the co-founder of a Medtech Venture Capital Firm and serves on numerous boards and advisory boards where innovation and commercial strategies are key.

Sir David Haslam

Chair of the Board & Non-executive Director

A distinguished leader in healthcare policy, served as Chair of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Previously, President of the Royal College of General Practitioners and President of the British Medical Association. Brings a unique perspective, informed by over 35 years experience as a General Practitioner. Authored 13 books and published over two thousand articles for both medical professionals and the public.

Dr Mike Barker

Non-Executive Director

More than 30 years of experience in the MedTech industry. Twenty-year career with Johnson & Johnson as WW Vice-President of Research & Development for the Orthopaedic Joint Reconstruction & Sports Medicine Businesses. PhD from the University of Leeds, and Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. Founder of MB Medical Device Consulting Ltd, and Qualified Business Coach with the Institute of Management.

Phillipa Tuck

Non-Executive Director

With experiences across brand, marketing and communications and a focus on Medtech and Healthcare, Philippa provides valuable and practical commercial support to the Itecho Board.  She is a startup mentor supporting the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme and previously held senior roles at several marketing and branding agencies in the UK.  During the COVID pandemic, she founded the Good News Channel to share uplifting and positive news during difficult times.
